Merry Face-Punchin Christmas
What? Trade who?...oh no, you misunderstood. I never said it like THAT. I was just talking to some guy...and he knows a guy....etc, you know how it goes. So anyway, On Thursday, the 21st the Sabres dismantled the Nashville Predators. It was tough to see JP Dumont in another sweater but easy to watch the boys rack up 7 against them. Pommers, Max and Kotalik all scored 2, Marty made 29 saves and tackled ex-rochester forward Scott Nichol after he sucker-punched Spacek in front of the net. I was actually surprised to see Nichol as well as goaile Michael Leighton playing for the 'Treads. Leighton also had a brief stint in Rochester, around the time Biron was asking for a trade. Nichol must have thought for a second that he was still playing for the Sabres, causing him to punch Spacek in the face. On Saturdey, the 23rd the boys weren't so lucky. After making a playoff-bound team look like the Wheatfield Blades house team, they couldn't hold on to the lowly St.Louis Blues. Apparently, Jay McKee tried to get several players drunk the night before, but he didn't have to in the end. We gained a point but lost in overtime. Biron once again made 29 saves and Legace only had to make 21, not enough! Another 8 or 9 shots may have won the game for us. Tuesday night, Ovechkin & the Caps in the 'Flo. Remember that hit from behind on Briere last time we played Washington?....keep it in the back of your mind while watching the game tonight...FAAAAAAAAACE PUUUUUUNCH!
